Clearly, this was a colourful and nice looking picture painted by the Tan Tock Send Hospital's personel. However, in my case and having gone through my ordeal, this was certainly proven to be in doubt and professionalism of the doctor's in this pretigious hospital, in question.

This are nothing more than empty talk and cheap words to me.

On Thursday the 25th of October, i rushed my dad to Tan Tock Seng Hospital as he was vomitting over 8 times, very badly dehydrated and having multiple diaarhoea. He was admitted for a day to be under observation and was discharged the following day as he was better from the food poisoning.

On Saturday the 27th of October, i woke up 5am in the morning to vomit. After the 5th time, my dad decided i should visit a doctor. The private clinic downstairs suggested we go to hospital as i was dehydrated. Having a history of food poisoning in the family just the day before, i thought that i had the same problem.

A doctor examined me, told me i should be alright and he's putting me on IV drip and some antibiotics to bring down my fever. He said he just wanted to be sure that i dont have dengue or anything. I was totally fine with it.

During the change of shift in the midday, right after i vomitted. Ever vomitted before, when your whole stomach and internal organ gag and tries to push as hard as it could but nothing seems to come out? It's painful! My tummy was in pain as another senior doctor came by to examine my tummy. He pressed hard on the right side where there was pain, than he pressed on the left side where there was no pain- at that point in time, all my pain were random. And i already made clear that i just vomitted, and that's causing the pain.

To my horrible surprise, he suspect me of having Appendix testis saying i have all the symptoms- vomitting, fever, pain on the right abdominal area, etc. I was admitted to hospital, refrained from eating or drinking as they prep me for an operation the immediate night.

Later two doctors came to my bed explaining their findings to me. First doctor came, pressed on my tummy, inserted his finger into my anal and said..."Huh, most likely its not." He went out took my blood test and say..."Argh, 80% chance that it is." As my white blood cellls were high, suggesting there's an infection somewhere. They further explained that if i were to delay another day to do more test and all that, "CAN, but than is it expands or explodes than its gona be troublesome.." There was clear undue influence practised here. My dad having gone through a close-to-dying experience with appendic testis when he was 13 years old, where his appendic nearly burst, immediately consented to the operation after hearing it was a 80% chance of me having the same thing too.

I was wheeled into the operation theatre in pain, in tears, in fear. My dad was in tears as he saw me wheeled away. My heart broke. I was wheeled out in great pain, unable to move my body as every little movement would generate great amount of pain to my operation wound. The following morning it was brought to my attention that I DO NOT HAVE APPENDIX TESTIS. I had an infection that could be caused by two possibility: 1) by the same virus that caused my dad to have food poisoning, or 2) by the flu or sore throat virus

I went, put myself out there exposed and vulnerable, in vain.

An official complain was filed against the doctors, but the results were as disappointing. The case investigator (also from TTSH) ruled in favor of the doctors, justifying by saying... in the medicine point of view what they did was right.

IN REALITY, they were wrong! I DID NOT HAVE APPENDIX TESTIS.

Cause of my illness than?

Some infection on the lymnodes in my body. Due to virus attack or whatever it was inflammed, causing the vomitting and extreme discomfort. Virus could be from 1) same as what my dad suffered the day before, or 2) due to a flu, cough and throat infection i got the week before.

These were the same two points that i have repeatedly informed the doctors about. Why tell me that now, after my operation?

Why were there no thorough and sufficient checks to ensure that there was infact appenix testis?

According to them, around the world...in most cases, its the norm not to do scan. Just clinical check and blood test is enough. My goodness. A1 or aspiring A1 hospital giving me such an answer.

Truly this has been disappointing. I regret to say, i do not trust TTSH, and neither will i go there if im sick. And that's my advise to you too, if you'e ever admitted there. (I pray not)
