Tough times don't last, tough man do!

The past 16days have been a humbling experience. You never really do know how much you love what you have until eventually you don't have it anymore.

I love my family, my friends, my comfy bed, my warm shower bath at home, my pets...the list goes on.

Freedom.

The days ahead aren't going to be easy, full of challenges and testings... But my faith is in You.
Tough times don't last, tough man do. God has come to toughen me up. I will get through.

The Lord is my Shepherd

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want

Through the ups and downs of life, the Lord is there, near to those who would let Him come near. He's a guide, a friend who would stand by you, sit with you, put His hands around you when you're down and out. He lends you His shoulder when you're in tears. He welcomes you with open-arms, embracing You in His love and grace. He never turns away.

As i walk through the mountain top, He's there.
As i walk through the valley, He's there.
As i walk through fire, He's there to shield me.
As i walk through the waters, He's there to protect me.
As i walk through life, He promised to never leave or forsake me.

As the Shepherd of our lives, God never sleeps, he never slumbers, he'll never leave us... He's with us, and in us always! And that's the basis and picture of our Great Shepherd.

He leads us to a place of peace and abundance. He guards us from every evil plot. He protects us from the attacks by the enemy. He want us to trust Him and have intimate fellowship with Him.

Follow Him, and He'll lead you to the path that leads to life.
Hear Him, and He'll speak words that'll bring faith and life into you.
Fix on eyes on Him, and He'll walk you through the storms we face in life.
Cling on to Him, when you, He clings on to you!

Last day as civilian (08-07-08)

my last 24 hours as a free man

For four times i asked God to take this away and push it later, yet He would not. I accept this as His will for me. What surrounds my heart and clouds my mind now is the sense of uncertainty together with the sense of mission.

I really wana go in and shine. yet on the other hand, there's this sense of "don't know what to expect" in my heart. In whatever case, i choose to put the Lord first and just do my best. Doing everything on to the Lord.

God works through willing hands. As i willingly put my hand to the plow, work the best i know how, i except God's hands of grace to be with me, prospering whatever i do. God's good, the devil's bad and that's final!

Accepting this as the will of God for me hasn't been easy. Countless times i've come to God to plead my way out, but nothing seems to happen. I chose to obey, even though i don't understand. This bitter-sweet feeling is somewhat familar to all of us, especially Jesus.

I could identify with how He must have felt in the garden praying just before He was betrayed. How He prayed for 3 times, pleading God with tears and nothing happen. Instead of resenting the Lord, He willingly embraced the "higher thoughts and ways" God the Father has installed.
That requires faith and takes a man of character to hold something like that together.

James 1:2-4,12
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything... Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Man

a bird will never fly when it fold its wings in unbelief.
a man will never fulfill his destiny when he chooses to live in fear and comfort.

the world is looking for better methods,
God is looking for a better man-man of character, yeilded to Him.

It takes a tenderheart.
It requires you to speak up.
It needs your commitment.
It involves you serving.
You need to take ownership.

Be that man today.
Through one Man, God set this world free.
Through you, God can change the world too!

Let it be through you!

freedom

freedom

Its a state of the mind, its the condition of ones heart and its also a lifestyle one has. in one's day to day living, though everyone has different experiences in life, what God looks at is our response to it. what we do not have control over, we rely on God. what we have control over, God expects us to deal with it the right way.

in the spirit realm, nothing is hidden from God (and the devil). everything is raw and bare. your condition is evident to all, the stuff that you've done in secret is displayed wide and clear. even though someone could be brave and happy on the outside, the inner condition of the heart and mind becomes a living prison. the soul is restraint, bound and limited, unable to break free.

what are some of the dead weight we carry?
1. habitual sin,
sins that are repeatly commited without acts of actual repentance. with no intention of change and no restitution made to stop sinning.

2. unforgiveness,
rehearsing the pain, anger and hurt repeatly bind one's emotion up, he becomes locked on the inside. as we freely release forgiveness from God, we should find the strength and the grace to freely forgive others who hurt us. afterall, who has never commited any offence before? yet God is willing to die for us on the cross.

3. ungodly beliefs,
beliefs of unworthiness, lack of significanes and value to God, doubts and fears. ungodly and unbiblical beliefs will bind us up, causing us to live a enslaved life.

4. religiousity
when one is religious, he goes through the motion and may even be extremely committed in performing the acts. yet he doesn't have a relationship with God. Martha was religious, he focused on the acts, on performing what is required and what seemed important, neglecting the presence of the Lord which is really the most important thing a believer could have. she instead turned bitter and angry against God, accusing him of not caring enough. religion is dead, powerless to change life and to set you free. Choose to have a relationship with God!

well, the devil has been around for thousands of years setting up traps so that we might fall into them. he's an expert in this field. he wants to trap you and let you live a compromised life under his dominion. But the truth is, God has come to set us free...the battle has already been won!

Claim it in Jesus' name!

Where the spirit of God is, there's liberty.

Open your heart.
Come back to God.
Be honest to God.
Ask Him for help.
Let go off control and let God come in.
Release forgiveness.
Claim your freedom.
Resist the devil.
Expect God to move!
Stay free!

What an awesome God we serve!

God's good!

Beyond compare, magnificient, wonderful, glorious! How awesome is the Lord! There's none compare to Him, His mercy endures forever, His grace is sufficient for all my needs. The joy of the Lord is my strength. In times of trouble, He's my tower of refuge. His a loving kindness leads me beside the still waters, when the flood come I'll not be drowned, when I walk through the fire I'll not be burned and when i walk through the valley I know He's with me!

What an awesome God i serve, His grace abounds toward me wherever i go...His Spirit dwells inside of me and He leads me to walk on higher ground...

How glorious is the Lord, how wonderful are those who call upon His name!

There's no fear, no shame, no guilt, no condemnation in Christ!

His grace is sufficient! =)

Let Him rule and reign.
