as He gave Himself in sacrifice;
hung alone to the cross and lifted high,
He showed us what love really mean.
"Father, why have you forsaken Me?"
was one of His cry,
While His Abba hid His face;
unable to see His flawless son,
be made a worthless slave.
His character helped Him to withstand the pressures,
as He walked through the cold dark grave.
He took hold of the authority that was lost,
and returned in the power of the Spirit, again.
the 40 days of trial helped Him,
as He learnt to deal with the deceits of the devil;
He went on and face the greatest trial that man would ever see.
wilderness period prepared Jesus with a backbone of steel.
and that's why God leads us to go throught them.
Even Jesus has to go through the wilderness season...
what about you?
Tribulations and trials produces perserverence;
and in perserverence, character;
and in character,hope.
And FAITH is the substances of things HOPED for.

Character
"It is character that makes a man of God, not the anionting."
-John Bevere-
Man looks at the outward,
BUT God chooses to look where no else could- the heart.
While man runs after the hands of God; seeking only for what God can do for them,
God looks at how close we've ran after His heart.
At end of the day, its not how much work we've done. It's how much of the work was actually done with Him, according to what He wanted and how it were to be done.
Character sustains you at the place where your talent and gifts would bring you.
That's what God is concerned with-our character development.
Sometimes its painful and He knows it, but to God, leaving us unchanged has a much greater pain.
The purpose of the furnace is to purify and to remove every flith, not to kill us.
Only the pure at heart shall see God!
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Cultivate them in your life!

Jesus take the wheel...
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
on a snow white Christmas eve.
Going home to see her momma and her daddy
with the baby in the back seat.
Fifty miles to go,
and she was running low on faith and gasoline.
It'd been a long, hard year.
She had a lot on her mind
and she didn't pay attention
She was going way too fast.
and before she knew it,
she was spinning on a thin, black sheet of glass.
She saw both their lives
flash before her eyes,
she didn't even have time to cry
She was so scared.
She threw her hands up in the air.
Jesus take the wheel,
take it from my hands,
cause I can't do this on my own.
I'm letting go,
so give me one more chance.
so Save me from this road I'm on.
Jesus take the wheel.
It was still getting colder
when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop.
She cried when she saw, that baby in the backseat
sleeping like a rock.
And for the first time in a long time,
she bowed her head to pray.
she said "I'm sorry for the way I've been living my life.
I know I've got to change
so from now on, tonight"
Jesus take the wheel.
take it from my hands,
cause I can't do this on my own.
I'm letting go,
so give me one more chance.
To save me from this road I'm on.
Oh, Jesus take the wheeeeeeeeel
Oh, I'm letting go,
so give me one more chance,
so save me from this road I'm on.
From this road I'm on.
Jesus take the wheel.
Oh, take it, take it from me.

Anyway
You can spend your whole life building,
Something from nothing
One storm can come and blow it all away,
Build it anyway
You can chase a dream
That seems so out of reach
And you know it might not ever come your way
Dream it anyway
Chorus
God is great, but sometimes life ain’t good
And when I pray
It doesn’t always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway,
I do it anyway
This world’s gone crazy
And it’s hard to believe
That tomorrow will be better than today
Believe it anyway
You can love someone with all your heart,
For all the right reasons,
And in a moment they can choose to walk away
Love ‘em anyway
(Repeat Chorus)
God is great, but sometimes life ain’t good
And when I pray
It doesn’t always turn out like I think it should
But I do it anyway,
I do it anyway
You can pour your soul out singing
A song you believe in
That tomorrow they’ll forget you ever sang
Sing it anyway,
Yeah sing it anyway
I sing, I dream, I love
Anyway

Choose to believe
"Faith is choosing to believe...
When life give you reasons NOT to."
-Corrie ten Boom-
There's a reason why God created us with our eyes infront of our head you know. So that we'll be looking at where we're going, not where we came from. So that we'll look ahead, not behind. We're all wired to function this way, and God must have His reasons.
Someone who focuses on the past, will never be able to go far ahead; bound to repeat the steps of yesterday's mistake; unable to reach far ahead to his future;like the man with a withered hand.
Life is like an express road. When you take a wrong turn, chances are, you end up in a long detour. And detours are scary, long, tiring, straining. It takes away the joy from the joy ride you intended. Sometimes we do make the wrong turn, and we get anxious and frustrated because there isn't much time or perhaps because we're exposed in an alien environment. We wished we could have turn back time, so that we would stay focused on the road.
Life do offer us series of reasons why we should not believe in God. And there're plenty of times when we don't understand why God allow certain things to happen under His sovereignty, when He's in control and sitting in the throne...
When that happen, and our mind fails to understand. We lift our clutched fist beating the air, raising our voices questioning God :"WHY DID YOU LET THAT HAPPEN!"
Well, we all needa know this: that our God is responsible over all things. And God takes responsibility over all things. But sometimes there're not pain free ways, just the right ways. Perhaps God's act of saving 8 people in the Ark while killing the rest of his creation to rebooth the system, is God's way of choosing to do the right option though there're great pain in doing so. Sending Jesus to die on the cross must have been a painful choice, but not sending Jesus to the cross seems to have a much more painful to God seeing all the precious souls perish in eternity of torment.
And perhaps that's God way of saying: "I don't care who's right or who's wrong anymore. I the Lord assume responsibility over all things. Blame Me. You got ripped off, I will make sure you get compenstated. You were hurt, I will make sure it will heal and mend."
Its better to some to God releasing our handful of hurts and pain, rather than running from Him with a clutched fist of anger and dismay.
God knows and He compenstates.
Keep trusting.
Read the Ten Boom's story: http://www.soon.org.uk/true_stories/holocaust.htm
It's a story of how bad things does happen to good people. But the key to walking all the way with God is to trust His heart and bang on His character even at times when you don't see His hands.

Wilderness-the place of preparation.
"The voice of one crying in the wilderness;
Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight."
Matthew 3:3
Wilderness is a time of preparation.
John the Baptist was called to prepare the way for Jesus' ministry.
Jesus was led to the wilderness.
God leads us through the wilderness, meaning He is there with us all the way if you still didn't get it!
Wilderness is not to crush us; for Jesus returned in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Wilderness is God's way to humble us and let us see how much we must lean on Him and not our understanding.
Wilderness is boring, distasteful and routine, Israel walked for 40 years with the same food, same scenery and same clothing!
Because it is a time God bless us with what we need, not what we want.
If all you ask from God is what you want and not what He wants for you, He will give you according to the desires of your heart. But at the expense of your passport to the promised land.
The children of Israel sought God for what they want, and never pass the wilderness test.
Beyond the wilderness, is the promised land!
Start (God gives you vision) -> Wilderness (God provide the pro-vision)-> Promised land (God fulfill His vision for you)
Endure! Perservere!

Vision
"As for me and my household, we shall serve the Lord..."
A weekend of great rejoicing. People leaping and jumping in excitement as signs and wonders sweeps through the entire stadium. Presence of God so strong that it sets the captives free, hardened hearts begin to melt, the heavy hearted find the refreshing touch they need. Bondages are broken as the Lord removes every lock that bind us by the oppressor. Miraculous healing and unusual miracles occuring all over the stadium hall, as hundreds stream forward to the front to share of thier very own miracles. The lost undeniably would see our Savior's hands at work and themselves admit that they too need Jesus.
Worshipping and singing behind Pastor would be so exciting. Being a part of the atmosphere, watching everything closed up. There would be great manifestation of the Holy Spirit as we lift our hands in worship, with one voice and one mind.
Salvation will come to my household, as my parent walks down the aisle. My mom receiving the release and healing she has needed for the last 20 years. My family would go up the stage, sharing of God's mercy and grace, testifying of the reality of God's power to heal, to save and to restore. And when we gets home, my second sister is gona be convinced that He is a rewarder to those who seek Him and too come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
For me and my household,we SHALL serve the Lord.
I believe. Let this week be so, as i have visualised it to be.
God oh God,
Let it be so as i so earnestly seek it. Miracle maker, loving God...Save my family. Restore back to us the years that have been stolen away by the accuser. I believe in your power to save and to heal. Let salvation come into my family Lord. I desire to see the breakthrough and the release this family has needed for the last 20 years. Please, heal my mother. Save my family member's souls. I believe, as i pray and i hope it will come to pass. God alone reigns soverign and supreme, You have the power to do so. I pray that Your will be unfold this weekend over my life and over my family.
Im seeking for a miracle from you Lord.
"Let it be so, according to my faith..."
Amen.

Light at the end of the tunnel
People often say that there's light at the end of the tunnel, all we gotta do is to believe it, be strong, be strong willed and keep walking...someday we'll see that light and find the way out. Well, easier said than done!
I wish it could be so simple. Yet when you personally go through such a tunnel yourself, you would have to cope with so much more than being "focused" on keeping on.
Going through the pinch black tunnel, you wonder how long it'll last. How much of the ordeal are you going to take some more than you already have. You struggle with the thought if you're ever going to get out alive. Not having vision is a hard thing. It leaves you guessing. Physcologically speaking, its tormenting and straining. You constantly wonder in your mind and try to piece the images together. You have no idea how your tomorrows are going to look like.
As you battle through the walls of doubts and fears, you need to cope with the lack of companionship. Seems like you're doing alone in this walk, like you're the only one who has the problem. What began with excitement, expectancy becomes mandane and religious. That's no fun.
Perhaps its just me, im a rather insecure person. It's not difficult to get discouraged in such situation. To feel inadequate, to be confused and heavy hearted when you did your best and try to do what you know and not see results.
All you have is hope.
A hope for a better tomorrow.
A hope for a better life with God than the life you used to live without Him.
A hope to make things right.
A hope to be the a better person.
A hope of finding your destiny to become a history maker.
All you need is hope. To believe that you can have it. To believe that you can change tomorrow. To believe that you can shine. To believe that someday you will make it. Someday you'll be launched into your destiny.
The battle is not of flesh and blood. The battlefield of the mind is more intense, much more powerful.
Hope is a powerful gift from God. It drives your heart to believe for something yet to be seen. It leads your soul to trust and lean on God's provision. It motivates you as you take each step. It gives you a reason to believe God in the unpromising circumstances.
We all need some hope.
It enables us to dream dreams and see visions.
Keep hoping as you walk...believing that the 'someday' would show up, as you step out of your tunnel. Believe.

Snails
"By perserverance the snails reached the Ark."
I guess it would have been nervous wrecking to be the snails that were called by God to enter into Noah's Ark. Being the slowest among the slow creatures on earth, they must have struggled with thoughts of doubts, insecurity, inferiority...
"Will i be able to reach there in time?" one of the snail would have thought to himself.
"Did i hear wrongly?" the other would wonder.
"Maybe we missed it..." they question.
"We're so slow, we'll never be able to reach on time..." one would said to another.
"Why would God want us around, there are so many other better looking, more able creatures than us!" They would doubt in their hearts.
Yet they chose not to hear the voices of distraction and they perservered in the light of God's command, hoping to be able to answer that heavenly call. Inch by inch they would crawl with all they might toward the prize that were set before them. They clinged onto God's word. They desired to hear the word:"Well done, my faithful ones..." And so they did.
I can only imgaine how bad they must have felt, seeing other creatures who started with them or even later than them pass them by. Each step they took seemed insignificant to the great step of the elephants. They would look up into the sky and saw how effortlessly the eagles would soar to get to the Ark. Man, they must have provoke some insecurity in their hearts. As they see the dark clouds gathering, covering the sky, they hurried in their pace...hoping not to miss the timing. Discouragement could have sank into their thoughts. They sweat like crazy, they were tired and they must have felt the urge to slow down and giving up could have been an option. But it did not.
They did what they could, they kept going.
God never expects us to be perfect, cos we'll never be in our fallen nature; He expects us to be faithful in perservering.
"Brethren, i do not count myself to have apprehended, one thing i do forgetting those things behind...i pass toward the prize of the upward call of God in Jesus Christ"
Keep trying, you'll see results if you tried long enough.
Faith
What is faith?
It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen.
It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see.
-Heb 11:1-
2 God gave his approval to people in days of old because of their faith.
3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
4 It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. God accepted Abel's offering to show that he was a righteous man. And although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us because of his faith.
4 It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. God accepted Abel's offering to show that he was a righteous man. And although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us because of his faith.
5 It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying ? "suddenly he disappeared because God took him." But before he was taken up, he was approved as pleasing to God.
6 So, you see, it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
7 It was by faith that Noah built an ark to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about something that had never happened before. By his faith he condemned the rest of the world and was made right in God's sight.
8 It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. 9 And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith ? for he was like a foreigner, living in a tent. And so did Isaac and Jacob, to whom God gave the same promise. 10 Abraham did this because he was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.
11 It was by faith that Sarah together with Abraham was able to have a child, even though they were too old and Sarah was barren. Abraham believed that God would keep his promise.
12 And so a whole nation came from this one man, Abraham, who was too old to have any children ? a nation with so many people that, like the stars of the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them.
13 All these faithful ones died without receiving what God had promised them, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed the promises of God. They agreed that they were no more than foreigners and nomads here on earth.
14 And obviously people who talk like that are looking forward to a country they can call their own.
15 If they had meant the country they came from, they would have found a way to go back. 16 But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a heavenly city for them.
17 It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God's promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac,
18 though God had promised him, "Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted."
19 Abraham assumed that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead.
20 It was by faith that Isaac blessed his two sons, Jacob and Esau. He had confidence in what God was going to do in the future.
21 It was by faith that Jacob, when he was old and dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons and bowed in worship as he leaned on his staff.
22 And it was by faith that Joseph, when he was about to die, confidently spoke of God's bringing the people of Israel out of Egypt. He was so sure of it that he commanded them to carry his bones with them when they left!
23 It was by faith that Moses' parents hid him for three months. They saw that God had given them an unusual child, and they were not afraid of what the king might do.
24 It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be treated as the son of Pharaoh's daughter.
25 He chose to share the oppression of God's people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin.
26 He thought it was better to suffer for the sake of the Messiah than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to the great reward that God would give him.
27 It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt. He was not afraid of the king. Moses kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.
28 It was by faith that Moses commanded the people of Israel to keep the Passover and to sprinkle blood on the doorposts so that the angel of death would not kill their firstborn sons.
29 It was by faith that the people of Israel went right through the Red Sea as though they were on dry ground. But when the Egyptians followed, they were all drowned.
30 It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho seven days, and the walls came crashing down.
31 It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute did not die with all the others in her city who refused to obey God. For she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.
32 Well, how much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets.
32 Well, how much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets.
33 By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions,
34 quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.
35 Women received their loved ones back again from death. But others trusted God and were tortured, preferring to die rather than turn from God and be free. They placed their hope in the resurrection to a better life.
36 Some were mocked, and their backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in dungeons.
37 Some died by stoning, and some were sawed in half; others were killed with the sword. Some went about in skins of sheep and goats, hungry and oppressed and mistreated.
38 They were too good for this world. They wandered over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground.
39 All of these people we have mentioned received God's approval because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised.
40 For God had far better things in mind for us that would also benefit them, for they can't receive the prize at the end of the race until we finish the race.
12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.
2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew would be his afterward. Now he is seated in the place of highest honor beside God's throne in heaven.
3 Think about all he endured when sinful people did such terrible things to him, so that you don't become weary and give up.
4 After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.
4 After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.
5 And have you entirely forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you, his children? He said, "My child, don't ignore it when the Lord disciplines you, and don't be discouraged when he corrects you.
6 For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes those he accepts as his children."
7 As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Whoever heard of a child who was never disciplined?
8 If God doesn't discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children after all. 9 Since we respect our earthly fathers who disciplined us, should we not all the more cheerfully submit to the discipline of our heavenly Father and live forever ?
10 For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God's discipline is always right and good for us because it means we will share in his holiness. 11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening ? it is painful! But afterward there will be a quiet harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.
12 So take a new grip with your tired hands and stand firm on your shaky legs.
13 Mark out a straight path for your feet. Then those who follow you, though they are weak and lame, will not stumble and fall but will become strong.
