" Satan's antics will remind you of Tom Archer, a teammate on my sophomore squad. One afternoon after practice, Tom smarted off to Mike Jenkins, a senior co-captian of the 4-A state champion Jefferson J-Hawks. Mike knew what to do.
Enlisting several of the guys, they jumped Tom and promptly taped him, wearing only his jockstrap, to a bench. Tom, a hairy guy, looked like a mummy, and i knew it would be no picnic peeling the white adhesive tape from his skin.
But to add insult to injury, Mike wiped a glob of Atomic Balm heating rub across Tom's genitals. White the seniors laughed their off, Mike thundered, "If anyone tries to help Tom before every senior has left this locker room, he'll get the same treatment." And he and the rest of the seniors took their sweet time in the showers.
Satan has intimidated you for years, but the tables have turned. Have you noticed? If you've moved inot purity, I know you sense that he can't push you around anymore. You know who you are and whose you are. You know you;re walking purely, and you're not afraid.
You're a senior now, so act like it! Give Satan a tape job and apply a little Atomic Balm where it counts.
Feeling like novice is no excuse to sleep at your post or to run from battle. Warfare is a normal part of a man's responsibility. Sure, when you were in sexual sin, you were in survival mode. But now you've fought your battle for purity and won. Now you can breathe freely again, and now you're free to face this new challenge. What is every man's challenge on that other side of purity? To get out of survival mode and be a man of valor.
So stand up and be one. You own the field! Who is the devil to think he can come onto your field? Who is he to think he can come into your home? He's like a sophomore;he has no authority there!
Get after Satan. Get a holy arrogance about you! Don't you get incensed when you think about what Satan did to you all these years? Don't you riled to see what he's doing to your friends? Give him some of his own medicine. You're an upperclassmen in the Lord, and purity is now yours. You are truly an ovecomer, and its high time you make Satan pay. "
