"Faith is choosing to believe...
When life give you reasons NOT to."
-Corrie ten Boom-
There's a reason why God created us with our eyes infront of our head you know. So that we'll be looking at where we're going, not where we came from. So that we'll look ahead, not behind. We're all wired to function this way, and God must have His reasons.
Someone who focuses on the past, will never be able to go far ahead; bound to repeat the steps of yesterday's mistake; unable to reach far ahead to his future;like the man with a withered hand.
Life is like an express road. When you take a wrong turn, chances are, you end up in a long detour. And detours are scary, long, tiring, straining. It takes away the joy from the joy ride you intended. Sometimes we do make the wrong turn, and we get anxious and frustrated because there isn't much time or perhaps because we're exposed in an alien environment. We wished we could have turn back time, so that we would stay focused on the road.
Life do offer us series of reasons why we should not believe in God. And there're plenty of times when we don't understand why God allow certain things to happen under His sovereignty, when He's in control and sitting in the throne...
When that happen, and our mind fails to understand. We lift our clutched fist beating the air, raising our voices questioning God :"WHY DID YOU LET THAT HAPPEN!"
Well, we all needa know this: that our God is responsible over all things. And God takes responsibility over all things. But sometimes there're not pain free ways, just the right ways. Perhaps God's act of saving 8 people in the Ark while killing the rest of his creation to rebooth the system, is God's way of choosing to do the right option though there're great pain in doing so. Sending Jesus to die on the cross must have been a painful choice, but not sending Jesus to the cross seems to have a much more painful to God seeing all the precious souls perish in eternity of torment.
And perhaps that's God way of saying: "I don't care who's right or who's wrong anymore. I the Lord assume responsibility over all things. Blame Me. You got ripped off, I will make sure you get compenstated. You were hurt, I will make sure it will heal and mend."
Its better to some to God releasing our handful of hurts and pain, rather than running from Him with a clutched fist of anger and dismay.
God knows and He compenstates.
Keep trusting.

It's a story of how bad things does happen to good people. But the key to walking all the way with God is to trust His heart and bang on His character even at times when you don't see His hands.
