...If a person calling himself a Christian continues in his sin with impunity and is allowed to go unchallenged in his lifestyle, he has no incentive to confront and confess and set aside his sin. Often the person committing the sin would rather admit he has a problem, or that he is just unfortunate, and will wail or cry when dealt with in discipline. Human sorrow is when we are only sorry for getting caught. Godly sorrow is when we are sorry for the sin and have a desire to be rid of it "
