Dreams

Luke 8:41-55
41 And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus' feet and begged Him to come to his house,
42 for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him.
43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,
44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.
45 And Jesus said, "Who touched Me?" When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, "Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?' "
46 But Jesus said, "Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me."
47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.
48 And He said to her, "Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace."
49 While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, "Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher."
50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, "Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well."
51 When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl.
52 Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, "Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping."
53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.
54 But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, "Little girl, arise."
55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat.

There will come a time where our dream seems to wane and on the verge of dying like a smouldering wick. The dreams and visions that we loved dearly, holding on close to our hearts, seems to be slipping out of our grips and we don't understand why. We search desperately for the cause, and seek frantically for a solution to solve the problem.

Finally, after trying all that we could on our own strength, we come to see the light that there's nothing that can be done right about that, apart from God. We put down our pride, humble ourselves and fall at Jesus' feet, pleading with Him and begging Him to save our dying dream- the dream that originally came from Him (A child is a gift from God).

While seeking God the pressures seems great. And the obsticals, plenty. Everything seems to be weighing down on our shoulders. And just when you feel all confused and lost on the inside, you got encouraged as you witness others being blessed while Jesus is on His way to your house. On the way to saving your own dream, others were getting blessed;having their own dreams fulfilled!

You find faith to believe that God can do it for you all the more, when you witness others recieving their miracles from God. Until the critics comes along.

Right after hearing powerful testimonies of Jesus' power to save and heal, the critics comes along to whisper deceit and discouragements into your ears. They come to ask you to stop trying, stop seeking God... because its pointless, they say.

But God is faithful. He has sent the Holy Spirit to remind us of the words of Jesus; that our dreams can come to pass...and that we are all called to rewrite the pages of tomorrow's history...

The mockers and critics around you begin to ridicule your faith...and you got to make the choice, to put all of them outside! To stop associating with them and listening to their negative, passive words that doesn't edify and stop mixing with their stinking attitudes... Do it!

That's when God holds you by your hands and say..."Dreams, arise!"

Life begin to return to your nearly lost dream, and once again you're able to live your dreams, with a thankful heart. But rememer, Jesus commanded us that we gotta feed our dreams. Feed your dreams with the right stuff today- feed it by the word of God, the fresh manna from heaven...with faih by which we ourselves recieved through the hearing of God's word!

Don't give up today,
God is mighty to save!
