Restoration

"Only God can see our hearts; the level of repentance, the desire to change."
Out of anger in his heart came an outburst as he took it upon his own hands to defend his fellow brother. He thought he could do it by his own strength, but he was wrong. He fell into sin. He committed a murder. What started out geniune, just and right turned out wrong.
He messed up.
Condemned by his actions, he fled the country. Once a honorable man, now made a fugitive and a murderer. He must have struggled in his heart to forgive himself for what he have done. He must have went in mourning and sought desperately for God in the wilderness. He knew what he did was wrong, forbidden by God. As he beat his chest in prayer, with a heart of repentance, in godly sorrow he must have begged God for forgiveness a million times throughout the 40years stay in the wilderness.
God saw his heart, forgave his sins and waited till he was 80 years old- old and dependant on Him, humble and meek before God totally broken unto Him, before He revealed Himself to him in the burning bush. One encounter, and it changed his life.
Moses later changed and grew in the Lord to become one of the only two mentioned in the bible whom God Himself call as the "friend of God". He spoke with God face to face!
What a contrast! From a impulsive murder, to a friend of God-the mighty deliverer of the children of Israel!
God's not looking for sinless perfection, He looks at our attitude (the true expression of the real us). He looks beneath our faults to see the needs we have, to see our hearts, our motivation, our desires, our level of repetance.
When Moses decided to turn away, to fix his eyes on God in the burning bush experience, we must set our hearts and fix our eyes upon Jesus. Though we are not perfect, and can never be in our fallen nature, we can make the choice to be fully devoted, totally faithful to Him.
God looks at the heart.
Men sees the fruit that come forth outta the heart.
Salvation is not just a decision, its a process.
Some make it through and stay the course, others don't.
Never judge anyone, for no one has attained yet.
God's restoration power is mighty to save!
